Welcome to Aiiioli! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Aiiioli mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service").

1. About Aiiioli

Aiiioli is a hyperlocal social platform that connects people through real-world activities ("Things") in their immediate vicinity. The platform's mission is to foster genuine human connections by facilitating "meet first, connect later" interactions within walking distance of users.

1.1 Core Functionality

• Create and discover local activities within a 0.5-mile radius
• Connect with nearby users through shared interests and activities
• Participate in community events and social gatherings
• Build meaningful relationships based on real-world interactions

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Aiiioli. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that:

• You are at least 18 years of age
• You have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms
• You are not prohibited from using the Service under applicable law
• You will provide accurate and complete information when creating your account

3. Account Registration and Security

3.1 Account Creation

To use certain features of Aiiioli, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain and promptly update your account information
• Keep your password secure and confidential
• Notify Aiiioli immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

3.2 Account Responsibility

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. You agree not to share your account credentials or allow others to access your account.

4. User Content and Conduct

4.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of content you create and share on Aiiioli ("User Content"), including:

• Activity descriptions and details
• Profile information and photos
• Messages and communications
• Comments and interactions

4.2 Content License

By posting User Content, you grant Aiiioli a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, and distribute your content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service.

4.3 Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Create fake or misleading activities
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Share inappropriate, offensive, or illegal content
• Violate others' privacy or intellectual property rights
• Use the Service for commercial purposes without authorization
• Attempt to circumvent security measures or access restrictions
• Create multiple accounts to evade limitations or bans

5. Free Service Model

Aiiioli is currently provided as a completely free service. All core features including activity creation, messaging, and social connections are available to all users at no cost and with no usage limits.

5.1 Future Changes

Aiiioli reserves the right to introduce premium features or modify the service model in the future. Any such changes will be communicated to users with reasonable advance notice.

6. Location Services

Aiiioli uses location data to connect you with nearby activities and users. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of location information as described in the Privacy Policy. You may disable location services at any time, but this may limit functionality.

7. Safety and Community Guidelines

7.1 Community Safety Tools

You have access to the following safety features to control your experience:

• User Reporting: You can report any user or content that you believe violates community guidelines. The moderation team will review all reports.
• User Blocking: When you block a user:
  • All chat history between you and the blocked user will be permanently deleted from your view.
  • Any existing friendship will be automatically and silently terminated.
  • The blocked user will no longer be able to see your profile, your activities, or contact you through the app.
  • Blocking is reversible, but please note that deleted chat history cannot be recovered.

7.2 Meeting in Person

When meeting other users through Aiiioli:

• Choose public, well-lit locations for initial meetings
• Trust your instincts and prioritize your safety
• Consider bringing a friend or informing others of your plans
• Report any suspicious or inappropriate behavior

7.3 Content Moderation

Aiiioli reserves the right to review, moderate, or remove content that violates these Terms or community guidelines.

8. Intellectual Property

The Aiiioli Service, including its design, functionality, and content (excluding User Content), is owned by Aiiioli and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

9. Privacy

User privacy is important to Aiiioli. Please review the Privacy Policy, which explains how information is collected, used, and protected.

10. Disclaimers and Limitations

10.1 Service Availability

Aiiioli strives to provide reliable service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

10.2 User Interactions

Aiiioli is not responsible for interactions between users, whether online or offline. You participate in activities and meet other users at your own risk.

10.3 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aiiioli shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

11. Termination

Aiiioli may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Upon termination, these Terms shall remain in effect except for your right to use the Service.

12. Changes to Terms

These Terms may be updated periodically. Users will be notified of significant changes through the app or email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Massachusetts, United States. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Boston, Massachusetts.
